Last year 2010 I commissioned Charles FRANGOULIS (Sydney Heritage) to conduct repair work on the ceiling and walls in the dining room of my 1930’s apartment.
As with many fibrous plaster ceilings it had sagged and scalloped with age but Charles reassured me he could bring it back to near new. True to his word the ceiling now looks like a brand new ceiling. Further, there were numerous cracks in the rendered walls some small but others staggered and quite wide. I can do a bit of DYI and you could see where previous owners had attempted repairs over the years that looked quite bodgie. These cracks needed a professional and I was concerned the cost would be quite substantial. However, once again Charles reassured me he could do the job and true to his word you can’t tell where the cracks were unless you hold up the before and after photos.
Not only did Charles do a great job, he is friendly and listens to what you want to achieve from your project whereis some tradies tell you what they want to do. He takes ownership of your wishes and makes them his. He explained how he was going to conduct the repairs, gave an honest appraisal of potential costs and time, turned up on time each day and as such there were no surprises when it came to the final bill.
I am so impressed with the work conducted by Charles that I have commissioned him to complete a much larger and more extensive period tiling job on my 1930’s apartment in 2011.
I highly recommend Sydney Heritage to anyone considering plastering, rendering and tiling work for their period home.
